Abstract: This talk will focus on evaluating the business case for technologies with long-term ROI and how to balance risk and reward in emerging innovations. It will highlight the lessons learnt from digital projects with unexpected outcomes. It will also explore the processes of quantifying or measuring non-financial and strategic value beyond traditional ROI.
Biography:
Bora Özdemir has more than 20 years of experience in different business sectors. He has worked in P&G and Unilever for more than 10 years. In 2018, he joined SOCAR, Turkiye, and worked on Enterprise Applications and Data Management. He then took over Digital Transformation processes. He is currently working as a Chief Digital Transformation Officer at SOCAR Global. In his current role, he is responsible for leading and coordinating an organization’s digital transformation strategy, digital innovation roadmap, digital portfolio as well as ensuring alignment with overall business goals. He leads a team which is responsible for cross-functional collaboration, monitoring progress through KPIs, and delivering long-term value from digital investments.
